What our customers say about their holidays

We had such a wonderful time in this beautiful house!

We could not fault anything at all! The hosts were the most kind and attentive people that you could meet and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Arron was fascinating to chat with - explaining to us the history of the local area, where to go to see the local sights and I found my family had lots of shared interests with her - which some of the conversations were intriguing! The house was spotlessly clean with everything inside that you may need plus more! Lovely touches such as bottled water, toiletries, plenty of towels and a delightful welcome hamper. It was extremely spacious and all though there was 8 adults, we did not feel at any time cramped in. Plenty of privacy as well as very large social areas. And then there is the gardens - astonishingly beautiful! We were lucky enough to sit in the garden a couple of evenings due to warm weather and it was so peaceful. Well cut lawns surrounded by the most perfect flowers which is all tended to by the hosts. Arron and John allow two well-behaved dogs so we had our two collies with us and they were also very much welcomed. We cannot thank you both enough and we definitely will be back to continue with the conversations.

Stayed here from the 10th to 12th November 23 as a weekend family away to celebrate a family members 30th birthday.

We were met by the owners upon arrival who ensured we were happy before leaving us to it. The house is lovely, well equipped with American style Fridge Freezer, induction hob and double oven. The kitchen has an integrated washing machine and dishwasher and the owner even left washing tablets for both. The kitchen area , which has 2 dining tables easily accommodated the 11 people in our party. The house has a large living room, cloakroom with WC, 2 further bathrooms off the hallway and 6 bedrooms , 4 of which have en-suite facilities all on the one level. The house is sat in well maintained grounds and is a stone throw from the River Tweed. The owners also pointed us in the direction of a lovely walk which was beautiful at this time of year. Peebles is around 3.5 miles away (10 minutes by car) I wouldn't hesitate recommending the property , we'll definitely be back in the future! Thanks again to the owners for making us feel welcome !

Wonderful comfy cottage, good area for walking and cycling.

All ground floor, bath/shower rooms for everyone, 4 are en-suite, surprisingly large living room, lots of kitchen equipment. Often chatted with the friendly owners, who provided storage for our bikes.... There's a nice tranquil streamside area across the road where our dog enjoyed paddling, also with table and chairs. We're ramblers and "leisure" cyclists, roads immediately south over the Tweed were nice and quiet and enjoyed the tramac Peebles Hydro to Cardrona ride, this time only walked the easier nearby hills along with the nearby ex Railway track and Neidpath tunnel. Realy good holiday location. Thanks again to Arran and John for making us so welcome

      Stunning property and excellent host.

We had a fantastic three days staying at the property and exploring the area. Many things to see and do in the area. We came to do the mountain bike trials and were not disappointed. After travelling from Manchester to Fort William and then to Skye we stayed here for three days on our way home. The host kept in touch with us prior to arrival via email and greeted us on arrival. They went out of their way to arrange for us to have jet wash available to clean our bikes when we returned from a days riding. The property is stunning in a beautiful area. We will definitely be returning. Thank you very much we really enjoyed our stay.

We were a multi-generation family staying at Tor View and we had everything we could possibly need for a brilliant stay, plus a whole lot more!

Arran met us on arrival and showed us around, and also left us a brilliant selection of goodies to enjoy! The accommodation was immaculate, with a great range of facilities and plenty of cups, glasses and crockery! The herbs/spices were a lovely extra touch. The photos really don't do it justice. It was also the perfect location to explore the Scottish Borders (and further afield) and there are lovely walks in all directions from the house itself. The garden was also lovely, with a great space for our two dogs to run round and for us all to sit out in. Would highly recommend and may very well come back soon ourselves!
