No smoking.. This spacious end terraced house with leather sofas is very comfortable and set in the heart of the village of Newcastleton on the Scottish border, in the beautiful Liddle Valley. For centuries this was the front line in the wars between Scotland and England, but now this peaceful and scenic area an ideal holiday location for relaxing or more energetic pursuits. Superb hill walking locally and on the Seven Stanes Cycle route – great centre for families and all levels of ability or aspiration. The Traditional Music Festival draws enthusiasts from all over in early summer to enjoy ceilidhs, concerts and the warm welcome in this friendly village. Shops 200 yards, pubs 300 yards.

Staffin is a well equipped , spacious and really well cleaned bungalow in a lovely village. It represents very good value. Newcastleton has local shops and cafes and is a very friendly place.There are walks straight from the cottage door. A drive out takes you to more scenic locations ,towns, parks, museums and castlesWe really enjoyed our stay there.

Nice traditional terraced house near the river. Good set up for those who cook but would benefit from a bowl for mixing.Great local information provided on local walks.Lovely eateries and 2 local shops for provisions.Good set up but let down by very poor WiFi. The glitching became worse as the week wore on. It sometimes took hours to return and impinged on relaxed viewing or indeed any at all at times. Some mould on ceiling of en suite warrants attention.

Staffin, was perfect, everything you needed and more, spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable, lovely place to visit for a quiet and relaxing stay...(Shame the Grapes Hotel and the local cafe had closed and the other pubs only served snacks... However I would recommend the Olive Tree great food, great service...) Staffin is on our list of favourite places to stay... Highly recommend this cottage to anyone...
