Courtyard Cottage in Gordon is praised for its stunning location, cleanliness, and peaceful atmosphere. Guests enjoyed the beautiful grounds, wildlife, and local walks. The cottage is well-equipped and offers a comfortable stay, particularly noted for the four-poster bed. The cafe's fresh scones and pastries were a highlight. Some guests mentioned the need for upgraded kitchen equipment and a softer mattress for the single beds.
The cottage received high praise for its cleanliness, with guests describing it as 'spotlessly clean'. This indicates a very high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.
The location is consistently described as stunning, with beautiful grounds and plenty of sightseeing opportunities. The peaceful countryside setting and proximity to historic houses contribute to a high score.
Overall, guests found the cottage comfortable, especially highlighting the four-poster bed. However, some guests found the single beds too hard, suggesting the need for mattress toppers, which slightly lowers the score.
The cottage is considered well-equipped by most guests, but there are suggestions for upgrading the kitchen equipment and television. The presence of a cafe with praised offerings partially offsets the need for improvements.
While guests appreciated the prompt service regarding a forgotten item and the conversations with staff, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

Lovely cottage. Was well equipped with anything we needed & spotlessly clean.Heard footsteps during the night going down then up the stairs when everyone was in bed,so rather strange but it made our stay quite excited. Would definitely go back.

Stunning location and comfortable cottage. Kitchen and equipment needs an upgrade as does the old television.
