We had a really lovely stay here, such a beautiful location. The cottage was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for a great stay.Gean Cottage is within a working farm, and we had the absolute pleasure of seeing the little calves, having just been born, along of course with the mums and other cattle! If you want peaceful, with lovely views, then this is a must, and I cannot recommend enough, truly.Obviously you need a car to get around, but close by to walk to, is the Gorge, a truly stunning area and lovely walk through and along. Nearby Alloa is only a short (c20m) drive to the town and station, with totally free parking, and cheap trains (no peak fares in Scotland), easy into Glasgow and Edinburgh. As noted, the cottage is on a working farm, and Roberta and Duncan are just the loveliest people you will ever meet. They chatted with us, and checked on us several times to make sure we were happy and all okay. The milk etc. and treats provided, we very much appreciated. The pictures genuinely do not do this justice, and I think I can safely say you will not regret your choice if you choose to say at Gean Cottage.
