The lodge was amazing, well equipped with everything you will need.. It has incredible views all around, the seals on the beach below were lovely to watch.. The hot tub is very secluded, surrounding by wooden fence panels, which was a pity when there are so many beautiful views from every angle of the lodge, maybe remove one of the panels so you could enjoy the views.John O Groats and Dunnet beach are worth a visit,as well as Dunnet head. .It would have been nice to have met the hosts, but only received a text message,so not around to ask questions about the surrounding area, lso, the hot tub was only checked once during our 7 day stay, which was a concern,as were the tractors that went very fast past the lodgeSaying that ,it is an incredible place and we would definitely like to return.

Had a lovely long weekend. Lodge was spotless, welcome basket and basics provided. We were there to relax and it was perfect. Close to Castle Mey, seals basking in the harbour below lovely and quiet. Hot tub was a bonus! Would highly recommend. We stopped at Tesco for provisions in Thurso and didn't need to go hunting for a shop. Telescope was a lovely addition.
