Druim-Nan-Deur is a well-loved cottage praised for its comfortable furnishings, spacious garden, and stunning views over the loch. It serves as an excellent base for exploring the surrounding areas, with guests enjoying the local scenery and amenities. The property is noted for being well-equipped, particularly for cooking, and providing a warm welcome.
The cottage received mixed feedback on cleanliness. Some guests found it less clean than expected, with specific mentions of a washing machine drawer needing attention. However, there were no recurring complaints, suggesting that cleanliness issues may be sporadic.
The location is highly praised for its beautiful views and proximity to local attractions. Guests appreciated the nearby village amenities and the ease of access to places like Applecross and Skye. The scenic surroundings contributed to a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
Guests found the beds and sofas comfortable, with ample space in the cottage. However, some seating was reported as saggy, and noise from the boiler affected sleep in one of the bedrooms. Overall, the property provided a comfortable environment.
The cottage is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, but some guests noted that utensils could be updated and better organised. Maintenance issues like non-working light bulbs and a loose toilet seat were mentioned, but the quick resolution of a plumbing issue indicates attentive management.

Nice cottage, but some aspects could do with updating. Lots of pans but none were non-stick, could do with sharper scissors and knives. Some of the light bulbs were not working properly and not as clean as I would have hoped. Comfortable beds and sofas, lots of fridge space, good parking. Nowhere to eat locally except the hotel which didn’t have good reviews, although the village had a good shop and a petrol station.

We had a great holiday in the cottage. It is very comfortable with a lovely garden and super views over the Loch. It is a good base to visit the surrounding area such as Applecross, Torridon and Skye.

Arrived to a warm welcoming cottage with a stunning sea and mountain view. The cottage was very well equipped for cooking and comfortable and spacious to spend time in. The garden was much larger than expected and well kept and a great space for family/pets to enjoy spending time. We were very fortunate to have fabulous weather and to appreciate the outdoor space to relax and soak up the sun in a quiet setting enjoying the view (deckchairs were provided too!). The village is in walkable distance (bit of an incline on way back up) with couple of cafes/hotel/a local shop that is well stocked and who also do very tasty pizza to takeaway. The scenery around the area is breath taking and so many places to visit -Applecross Inn and Walled Garden restaurant, Carron Pottery, Attadale Gds, Glenshiel Chocolatier, Kyle and Plockton and more depending how far you want to travel. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners and the neighbours who were all very welcoming and helpful. Overall an enjoyable, peaceful and idyllic place to holiday in and would definitely return!
