An easy journey from the property you will find the beautiful and well-known town of Tobermory, where you can enjoy a stroll along the colourful harbour before heading into one of the local pubs, restaurants, or cafes that stock local seafood fresh from the surrounding ocean. Head over to the chocolate factory and whisky distillery, where tours and tasters are on offer. For lovers of history, there is a huge number of historical sites, including Pennygown Chapel, Salens Ships and Tobermory lighthouse as well as a wide variety of museums including MacQuarie’s Mausoleum, Ross and Mull Historical Centre and The Old Byre Heritage Centre, where you can indulge in the rich culture and heritage of the island. There is a shop/café in the village as well as a hotel with a restaurant and a bar and as Salen is centrally located, it is the perfect holiday base for touring Ardnamurchan and also Morvern and Moidart and from here you can also make the most of island trips to Skye and Mull.
