Biblical rain had closed many roads in the highlands and the road to Kilchoan was one of them, luckily a few hours after our arrival. We were greeted by one of the best views in Scotland, looking out over to Rhum, Muck, Eigg, Canna and Skye. This was the ever changing backdrop to our stay (who needs tv or tablet?) Dondies was warm and cosy and on the evenings, when the temperature dropped off, the wood burner came into its own. During our two weeks stay we found that the cottage lacked for nothing, the bed was very comfy and slept soundly after all our exertions of the day. At low tide we loved nothing more than walking our dog on the deserted beaches and there are numerous to find. If you like peace and tranquility and are good at planning ahead then Dondies will be right up your street.

Amazing views and really comfortable, Lots of walks on the doorstep and the wildlife amazing. Even the pine marten paid us a visit (caught him on our camera trap). Thank you to the owner and your staff who make this place available.

The cottage was very comfortable and had all the facilities you need. The view from the cottage were simply stunning! Very quiet location, nice beaches. Would recommend that you bring all your food supplies as there are no shops close to the cottage, However you are close to the ferry for Mull , which was brilliant for shopping and restaurants. The best part of this holiday was the view from the cottage which was stunning !!
