Newtonmore, in the Cairngorms National Park (Britain's largest), includes various stores and pubs, as well as two superb, award-winning museums: the Highland Folk Museum and the Clan MacPherson Museum, which all overlook the River Spey. Newtonmore's Wildcat Trail is a popular 7–mile circular walk that takes in the River Spey, woodland, moorland, and spectacular views across the valley to the Cairngorms, as well as behind the hamlet to the Monadhliath Mountains - a suitable start to the National Park's charms. The Folk Park, Kincraig Wildlife Park, Landmark at Carrbridge, and the Steam Railway are also excellent local attractions for younger tourists. Golf, fishing, pony riding, walking, birdwatching, cycling, mountain biking, climbing, and skiing are all available in the vicinity, giving it a great base for exploring all that this picturesque part of Scotland has to offer.

    Location was stunning, the house was lovely and cozy. Some lovely walks on your doorstep, with the added bonus of being able to borrow mountain bikes from the owners to explore. The owners are extremely helpful and always on hand to help for any queries. Would definitely recommend.
