It is situated in over 45 acres of wonderful woodland, allowing you to escape in beautiful forest walks, enjoy a quiet picnic by a gushing waterfall or access the loch via a private road. Step into the bright and airy open-plan living space, where you can look forward to unwinding on the sofa following a long day or take a seat at the breakfast bar and chat to the designated chef, rustling up a tasty feast while utilising a range of modern appliances. On the ground-floor there is a double bedroom with access to the family bathroom, complete with bath and shower over so you can decide how best to prepare for the day. Move upstairs to reveal the remaining bedrooms, including the spacious master with a lovely Juliette balcony with glass balustrade, again affording spectacular views of the mountains and loch. There is expansive fitted storage and a contemporary en-suite shower room, while there is also a double with en-suite shower room, so you won’t have to worry about morning queues! The garden at this wonderful abode includes a lawned space where you can enjoy family games, along with an outdoor picnic bench for lunch in the sunshine. There are also walks into the beautiful Glen Gloy from the property. Take a drive into Spean Bridge, a lively village with a convenience store for stocking up on the essentials and a choice of pubs and restaurants for when you fancy a night away from the kitchen. Even closer, within walking distance is a restaurant which serves delicious meals, both at lunch and dinner. Those looking to get their steps in can explore along the Great Glen Way and West Highland Way, two superb long-distance walking routes boasting amazing scenery and rugged rambles, meandering alongside Loch Lochy, there’s also a plethora of thrills nearby including watersports at the Loch and active Highs outdoor adventure. Be sure to pack your walking gear as you are exploring the outdoor capital of Fort William, a bustling town with a wealth of shopping, food and attractions, including access to Ben Nevis and Glen Nevis, the Ben Nevis Distillery, West Highland Museum, and Lochaber Geopark, all wonderful for a day trip. For those who enjoy winter sports, the ski-fields of the Nevis range would provide a perfect backdrop. Enjoy a unique dining experience on the Caledonian Canal at Eagle Barge Inn at the Laggan Lochs situated at the north end of Loch Lochy, a restaurant and bar set on an old Dutch barge, sit on the roof deck and soak up the scenery. A short trip north and you will reach the banks of Loch Ness and the picturesque town of Fort Augustus; be prepared for a cruise on the Loch in search of the monster or if you fancy a bit more speed, take a trip on a rib boat. After wandering around the local shops, you may just want a meal and a view of the loch which would make the Boathouse a perfect place to eat. Beautiful property in a beautiful part of the world. There was even an xbox which kept the kids occupied on rainy days.

The house is warm as well - we went when there was a snow storm, and never felt the cold, but got the amazing snowy views. The hosts have taken on the feedback of other guests, below there is a review commenting placing an armchair in the bedroom. When we went there is now an amazing armchair, big enough for 2 people. I had lots of cuddles with my baby looking out on an amazing view. It is not in the pictures and wanted to mention it as it was a big highlight for us.

The house itself was wonderful, very spacious, clean and modern. Our only suggestion is the main front bedroom is massive with a lovely view, we think even though there is a king size bed in it, we feel it would benefit from having a much more luxurious bed which would suit such an amazing room. It feels very empty as a room with no TV or furniture apart from a swivel cuddle chair. This is by no means a complaint! It is a lovely place to stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone. We found the location great, just outside of Spean Bridge not far from Ben Nevis, Fort William, Fort Augustus or even Inverness is within reach.
