Everything about this property is generous, with a large entrance leading to a vast reception hall and the central staircase to the upper floor. Guests will be impressed with the kitchen, with its range cooker, central island, breakfast area and French doors opening onto a private rear patio, ideal for an alfresco breakfast during the summer months. With a handy rear boot room and a large utility room, there’s plenty of space to store walking boots and outdoor clothing. The dining room allows for sociable meals, and in the summer months, the double doors can be swept open to the patio for a relaxing cup of coffee outside. There are five spacious bedrooms across the two floors, with Dorma bedding throughout, and with the first floor master bedroom benefiting from a walk-in wardrobe, an en-suite and French doors accessing to the balcony. The sitting room is also situated on the first floor and radiates style with big comfy sofas and French doors to a large balcony, which overlooks the rear garden to the pretty open hillside beyond. Not only is there a large, one acre woodland garden to the rear, but also a private orchard where guests can sample its selection of fruit in the summer months. Newtonmore is considered the Walking Centre of Scotland, with the Wildcat Trail passing the River Spey and River Calder through stunning unspoilt countryside, home to an abundance of wildlife, including wildcats of course! The Cairngorms National Park is a truly exceptional destination with something for everyone, and this superb holiday home is a perfect base for your Highland getaway. EPC Rating: Band C

Overlooking the River Spey, in the Cairngorms National Park (Britain's largest), Newtonmore has several shops and pubs, as well as two excellent, award-winning museums - the Highland Folk Museum and Clan MacPherson Museum. The village may seem familiar as you wander around, as it was the setting for the popular TV series, Monarch of the Glen.

We loved the house itself and the location. An Torr was deceptively spacious and was well equipped for every day living.

Easy to get into with ample parking. In general property was well maintained apart from some appliances,BBQs, irons, boards and dinning table (quiet sticky) nice place to spend time with family.

It was central to all the places we'd planned to visit - deer feeding, horse riding, Aviemore, Loch Insh, Inverness, zip wiring and Landmark, the 'parallel roads of Laggan' and the Highland Folk Museum in Newtonmore. Didn't have time to swim at the pool in the local hotel. Everyone was catered for. Lovely holiday.
