The Moray Firth is also home to one of the UK's only two dolphin colonies. Nairn is steeped in history, particularly in relation to the Battle of Culloden, and Fort George, a neighbouring 18th-century military fortress, is one of Europe's best-preserved examples. Cawdor Castle and Brodie Caste are both within a 15-minute drive of each other.
