No smoking.. Situated in the new village of Tornagrain, between Inverness and Nairn, is One The Loan, a modern and beautifully furnished and decorated house for six guests. On entering the house, you are in a spacious hallway with a separate toilet; on the left is a very comfortable living room with a Smart TV. On the right-hand side of the hallway, you enter an open plan fully fitted kitchen, dining and family room with patio doors leading out to the garden where most of it is laid to grass. There is also a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has a 4ft 6in double bed, and the third bedroom has two single beds (each 2ft 6in). The family bathroom has a bath with a shower cubicle.
Tornagrain is 6 miles from the centre of Inverness; there are lots of shops, the Aquadome leisure centre, a theatre and, on the outskirts towards Tornagrain, a cinema. Tornagrain has a nice café for lunch and a well-stocked village shop. From Inverness, you can also enjoy a boat trip that takes you along Loch Ness past Urquhart Castle, where you will have to have our cameras at the ready for Nessie spotting! Culloden battlefields are also 6 miles outside Tornagrain, and the town of Nairn is just over 8 miles north, where you will find the lovely beach, shops, restaurants and cafes.
Castle Stewart and Nairn links golf courses are around a 15-minute drive away.
Fort George, a large 18th-century fortress near Ardersier, which is just north of the airport. The current fortress has remained in continuous use as a garrison and is open to the public whilst still serving as working army barracks. Fort George is proud to host the Celebration of Centuries, which is their largest re-enactment event. In this weekend-long celebration, re-enactors will bring the mighty fortress to life with a living timeline depicting over two thousand years of Scottish history. Wander through the living history camps, dating back to the Picts and Romans. All in all, it is history that the children will not forget being part of!
Enjoy your break at One The Loan, where you will be 1 mile from the sea, and 5 minutes from Inverness airport. Beach 9 miles. Pub and restaurant 5 miles.

We stayed at the loan in Tornagrain in October as a family with two teenagers, the property is beautiful and in very peaceful location it is approximately 8 miles to Invernes and the same to Nairn beach. We had a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend the property.

Good facilities but 5 miles from Inverness itself. Very close to the airport but no noise heard.

The house itself is impeccale and plenty of room. Plumbing was good and kitchen stuff was there with cleaning products. The host was very accomdating and was understanding when checked out a bit later in the morning. They are very prompt so make sure you check out and leave by 10:00 am. The only downside there was no indoor clothes rack. This would be conveinent if your leaving in the morning and want to hang dry your clothing without leaving the clothes dryer on. As travelling as a family this would have been useful. House has multiple toliets. Also the house is located in a small village with only 2 small shops nearby. So I would say your trip involves driving a car this would be ideal since it has its own driveway. Overall, this one of the better holiday homes I have stayed in.
