The kitchen is light and airy and offers a wonderful space for the chef to prepare delicious food. Pull up a stool at the breakfast bar to keep each other company and when it’s time to serve up, the dining area is ready to host intimate meals for two. During the warmer months, step out onto the decking area and enjoy time al fresco while soaking up the breathtaking views. The double bedroom provides a calming sanctuary, ideal for resting weary heads after a tiring day of exploring the area and make sure to have a relaxing soak in the bath or if you’re more of a shower person, then jump into the walk-in shower and freshen up before heading out for the day.

There is so much to see and do both from the doorstep and further afield, so make the most of the location and be sure to explore the surrounding countryside with walks and trails aplenty and keep an eye out for birds and wildlife along the way. Inverness and Beauly are both well worth a day out as are attractions such as Urquhart Castle, Merkinch Nature Reserve and Rogie Falls. The Capital of the Highlands, the city of Inverness, is the gateway to the countless delights of the Highlands of Scotland. Towering mountains, dark lochs, great forests and precipitous sea cliffs are all within easy reach. Of particular note is the legendary Loch Ness, which is surrounded by some truly breathtaking scenery, although most visitors are usually on the lookout for something a bit more mysterious! Just outside the city is the Culloden Battlefield at Culloden Moor (National Trust). The site of the last major battle fought on British soil, there is an award-winning display depicting the battle, whilst a walk on the field serves as a poignant reminder of the clansmen who lost their lives. Inverness itself has much to offer, museums, an art gallery, fine theatre and leisure facilities, not to mention shops, pubs and restaurants. The River Ness flows through the city and both the river and neighbouring Moray Firth are home to a diverse range of wildlife and marine life including red kites, along with dolphins, which can sometimes be seen from the shore, or on trips from the harbour.
