East Lewiston is a delightful, semi-detached cottage and enjoys a peaceful yet central location in the picturesque village of Drumnadrochit close to the shores of Loch Ness. East Lewiston has been tastefully furnished and modernised, a particularly attractive feature being the exposed stone wall in the living room complete with cosy wood burner, perfect for those chillier evenings. Drumnadrochit is a very popular holiday destination and also makes the perfect base for exploring this beautiful part of the Scottish Highlands. The village boasts several shops, pubs and good places to eat, all within easy walking distance of the cottage.
Take a trip to the ruins of Urquhart Castle set on the edge of Loch Ness, or take a boat trip on the loch and you may catch a glimpse of the elusive Loch Ness monster! The village is surrounded by the glens, Glen Urquhart and Glen Moriston as well as the Great Glen which reaches across from Inverness in the east to Fort William in the west. From the cottage you can take a trip along the Moray coast, dotted with fishing villages and unspoilt beaches, or sample some of the finest whiskies made in Scotland on the Moray Malt Whisky Trail. Visit Culloden Battlefield, Fort George and Cawdor and Brodie Castles, just some of the many historic sites of the area. To the west, take a day trip to the wonderful Isle of Skye and west coast and experience some of the most stunning scenery Scotland has to offer. While to the south visit Fort William, the ’outdoor capital of the UK’, where there is a wonderful array of activities available, including mountain biking, hill walking and climbing to name but a few. Directly from the cottage there are many forest trails where you can either take a quiet stroll, or for the more energetic, take your mountain bike and experience some challenging routes. For the less energetic, sit back, relax and unwind in this delightful little holiday cottage. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Very comfortable stay
Richard
Clean and warm with welcome pack. The cottage was useful for us more of a stopover location. Nice walks to viewing points from the door. Because of the nature of the old building and its position it did feel to us to be a bit enclosed and dark but others likely to see this as cosy. We found the internet here to be unreliable.
