Situated in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, Caberfeidh is a cosy, detached, single-storey holiday cottage set in enclosed gardens overlooking the River Dulnain. The adjacent Scots pine woodland is a haven for birds and red squirrels, and a cacophony of bird song often greets you as you step outside. In its rural setting on the Skye of Curr road, on the outskirts of the small Highland village of Dulnain Bridge, Caberfeidh is easily accessible, and is just a short drive from the larger towns of Grantown-on-Spey and Aviemore. Whatever your passion, whatever the season, the Cairngorms have something for everyone. Enjoy strenuous high-mountain treks or relaxing lochside strolls, mountain biking, water sports, winter snow sports, fishing, golf, wildlife watching, castles and culture, whisky and fine dining, or just enjoy the fresh air, peace and quiet. There is no shortage of space to find your own tranquil picnic spot set against the spectacular scenery of the mountains. Caberfeidh is well placed for exploring further afield too; in little more than an hour’s drive you can be dolphin watching at Chanonry Point on the Moray Coast or exploring Royal Deeside on the other side of the Cairngorms. This is a super little cottage in a quiet village. It’s cozy and comfortable with a wood burning stove and comfortable sofas. The kitchen provides everything you need (but bring a frying pan as the one provided isn't very good) to make a substantial meal. The bathroom is great with a powerful shower and plentiful hot water. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well.Outside there is ample parking and a nice garden with benches to sit on it have a outdoor meal on. Badgers visit the garden an hour or two after it gets dark and red squirrels visit in the morning. There are plenty of garden birds all day.The owners left a voucher for us to spend at the nearby Speyside Centre where they serve lunch and decent coffee.Theres not much in Dulnain Bridge but Grantown is just a short drive away with most services and Aviemore is a little further and has everything you need.We had a great week and we’d live to return sometime.

Unable to use washing machine when we arrived as the door had been shut and it absolutely stank of mould. The door seal was thick with mould. Had to do a 90 degree wash and thoroughly clean the door seal and then left the door open to let it air. Only then was it acceptable to use. Also the base of the iron was coming away and there was no PAT label on it. I emailed the management company about these issues but they never bothered to reply. It did say to phone them or you could put it in the book as a fault. I thought that I'd email them to give them the heads up before the next customers arrived so that they could get it sorted. The mattress was extremely soft but did give a good night's sleep. It was good that the heating was available at any time and was easy to adjust. The welcome voucher was generous. Overall a nice cottage but the little things that needed attention put us off

We thoroughly enjoyed our week staying at Caberfeidh. A lovely little cottage which was comfortable and well equipped. The wildlife in the garden was a highlight, I have never seen so many different birds in one place before. It was really nice that binoculars were provided by the owner. I would recommend this property for a quiet relaxing getaway.
