Guests consistently highlight the well-equipped kitchen, beautiful gardens, and direct access to walks and nature. The owners are frequently described as welcoming and helpful, and families especially appreciate the play area and thoughtful touches. While a few minor suggestions for improvement are mentioned, such as mattress updates and additional kitchen items, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, making this cottage a highly recommended choice for a relaxing Highland getaway.
Cleanliness is repeatedly praised, with guests describing the cottage as extremely clean, tidy, and well-presented. Only rare minor comments about upstairs windows and ceilings were noted, but these did not detract from the overall impression.
The location is universally lauded, with guests loving the proximity to both the town centre and surrounding woods. The setting is described as peaceful, ideal for walks, and perfect for exploring the Highlands.
Guests find the cottage very comfortable, warm even in winter, and spacious. The home-from-home feel is often mentioned. A few guests noted that some beds and pillows could be updated, but comfort remains a strong point overall.
Facilities are highly rated, with many reviews mentioning the well-equipped kitchen, ensuite bathrooms, WiFi, and ample parking. Minor suggestions include more kitchen utensils and bathroom cleaning supplies, but these are exceptions.
Guests frequently mention thoughtful touches such as welcome packs with milk, biscuits, wine, and even chocolates for children. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Only a few minutes walk to the town, yet it feels like you are out in the countryside. Excellent hosts, welcome package of milk, wine and shortbread - thank you. We look forward to booking this property again.

Our friendly host Sandy greeted us as we arrived. We found the living areas spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed several nights - self catering. Unfortunately several of our party hard difficulty in navigating the low ceilings in the up stairs bedrooms and bathrooms. For the most part, it was presented very clean and tidy, with only some minor attention required to the upstairs windows and ceilings. Notwithstanding these observations, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
