The Willows was a lovely base for our walking holiday with 4 of us and a dog. Beautiful area very peaceful. Very cosy space inside with nice lighting and twinkly lights. Some things to note is there is no oil or pepper so bring your own and the shower is electric and can be a bit up and down in getting the temp right, having said that 2 out of 3 of my showers were fine but the others had a few cold issues- I wondered if it’s order we took them in. The host was lovely and helpful. The local area is amazing and we would come back for sure to The willows. As others said, wildlife from your window is incredible. Be careful which address you put in, depending on site booked. We booked via Home to Go and the address sent us a bit all over, and no contact for landlady showed, but once realising they were booking via Cottages.com it got a lot easier with right address and a contact number.

We absolutely love the Willows! You couldn’t be in a better spot for all the wildlife and scenery. The lodge itself is very comfortable with everything you need. Really appreciated that it was decorated for Christmas. The bird feeder in the kitchen is a lovely touch, seeing all the tiny birds close up! Very clean, very warm and spacious accommodation. Tonnes of dvds, WiFi is great, lots of leaflets and magazines about the local area. We will return! Thank you

Loved it here. Warm and cozy place to stay, with everything you would need while away from home. There are so many trails to explore, that a weeks stay didn't seem long enough.I recommend you read the welcome pack as it contains information about the local area, making it easy to plan what you want to do each day. Learning to ride a segway was one of my personal favourites, at Woodlands activity centre, which is a short journey away. Only down side is if you go out of season a couple of the local eateries are closed.Remember to take some bird food with you, so you can enjoy watching them have breakfast either on the deck, or from the kitchen window.
