Now converted into a cosy family home with great views over Avoch harbour and the Moray Firth. Sleeping four guests in three bedrooms, this dog friendly holiday home is in a great location for exploring Fortrose, Cromarty and the Black Isle and for accessing the wider Scottish Highlands. Inverness is around a 20-minute drive, there is a regular bus service if travelling without a car.
The Old Chandlery is situated opposite Avoch Harbour near to the fisher town where the close packed streets are a reminder of the days when the fishing boats were hauled into the street to protect them during bad weather. Avoch is located on the Black Isle and is approximately 20 minutes North East of Inverness on the Inner Moray Firth. The property is built into the hillside opposite Avoch Harbour. At the front of the house, there is a staircase that leads up to the front door. At the back of the house, there is no staircase to access the back door. Beach 400 yards. Pub 1¾ miles.

Lovely stay at the Old Chandlery. The house was bigger than anticipated and the amount of storage space was incredible. ( not that we had much to fill it but still.). The place was immaculate clean. Its a shame the furniture has to be protected but I understand why. The only thing I would say is to replace pillows. Both living room and bedroom were a bit flat. But it was well stocked with crockery and utensils and everything you could need. The village was charming and typical highland fishing village with unique cottages. The view of course was gorgeous. There are lots to do nearby. I would point out that the road outside the property is the main road and it is very busy so if you have small children or pets then be careful. Would definately stay again.

Stayed here many times visiting family The house as everything anyone would require.Avoch is a lovely place to visit harbour and walks by the sea. Many villages close by to visit and Inverness 6 miles away.
