In association with Trinity House, we are proud to present St Catherine's Lighthouse in Niton, the Isle of Wight.
This is the end cottage to the east on the St Catherine’s Lighthouse site and offers accommodation for five guests. It features an entrance hall, sitting room, dining room, fully fitted kitchen, bathroom, double bedroom, twin bedroom and a single bedroom.
Outside, there is a fully enclosed and private courtyard with a shared open grassed area.
St Catherine's Lighthouse is situated just outside the hamlet of Niton, approximately 10 minutes' drive from the popular coastal resort of Ventnor, the southernmost point of the Isle of Wight.
The site comprises a terrace of three self-catering, former lighthouse keepers' cottages, Landward Cottage sleeping 4 guests, Gurnard Cottage sleeping five guests and Penda Cottage sleeping five guests. There is an excellent real ale pub a 10-minute walk up the hill.
Telephone with honesty box.
Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge). The ferries welcome dogs in the passenger lounges in dedicated areas and provide water bowls.
There is no fog signal at this lighthouse site.
A travel cot and highchair are available on request.
Due to the location of the property, television reception is often intermittent or lost.
Very limited mobile signal. A telephone with honesty box is provided.
You may unload next to Penda Cottage (nearest to parking area) but please remember to park to the rear of the cottage to respect the privacy and views of others. Parking to the rear can also be accessed via the back door and through your private courtyard.
Guests are reminded they are renting a heritage building, therefore certain features such as steps, stairs and floor levels may not comply with that of a modern building. As such, we would advise guests to acquaint themselves with the premises on arrival and exercise caution accordingly.
Guests should be aware that the lighthouses and equipment need regular and sometimes emergency maintenance. Therefore visits by maintenance staff may occur at any time during the year. However, staff will do their best to ensure guest privacy at all times.
Access roads to the lighthouse site are narrow with limited passing places and, dependent on the season and site, there is the possibility of overhanging vegetation due to cutting restrictions during bird breeding seasons or other environmental reasons.
Sorry, no barbecues, fireworks, drones or remote controlled flying equipment permitted.
Sorry, charging of electric cars is not permitted.

Stayed here many times but its tired know and the shower/bathroom needs a complete makeover. The carpets are really grubby now, fridge didn't work properly, and many more faults. We paid £1400 for six nights, half that would be still too much. We have stayed at RR Lighthouse cottages for over ten years, 3 times at Sally Port in Cornwall, very clean, well presented, fresh flowers, fruit and a great hamper, and Gurnard was not up to standard. Shame.
Lovely cottage - beautiful location - very clean - lovely welcome pack. No complaints at all.
Very good accommodation with outstanding views. It’s even a pleasure washing up!
