Sunnybank Cottage is highly praised for its stunning location, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests appreciate the well-maintained garden, beautiful views, and the thoughtfulness of the hosts. While one review mentions a small shower room, the overall sentiment is that the cottage provides a cosy and homely base for exploring the highlands.
The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting it as spotless, tidy, and well-presented.
The location is celebrated for its beauty and tranquillity, with picturesque views and proximity to local attractions. One review notes restricted views and distance from the loch, slightly lowering the score.
Comfort is consistently mentioned, with guests finding the beds comfy and the cottage cosy. However, one review cites a cramped shower room, which impacts the score.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and good wifi. The garden and renovation work are appreciated, though one review's mention of a small basin and limited shopping options slightly affects the score.
Guests mention a welcome basket and good communication with the hosts, indicating thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Sunnybank is a detached property, situated in a perfect elevated position, with a large enclosed and mature garden, and fabulous views. It is a lovely holiday home within the Scottish Highlands, located a short drive from the village of Torridon.
The living room is spacious and has an outstanding original fireplace with a wood burner. A large TV sits next to the window, so you can choose which one you want to sit and look at. Upstairs, there is a spacious double bedroom with original croft house style wood panelling that has been cleverly painted white to give the room a lovely bright feel. The twin room is spacious, and both bedrooms benefit from excellent views across Loch Torridon towards the mountains. There is also a separate toilet upstairs between the bedrooms. Sunnybank is a gem in one of the best Scottish Highlands locations. You won’t regret staying here.
Through the living room there is a large kitchen/dining room, which has a door leading out to the garden, with space for those muddy boots and coats. In the garden there is a shed to store cycle equipment. The cottage looks out across Loch Torridon, and is at the foot of the Torridon mountains where you will find many walks. Take a stroll along the shore and spot seals, dolphins and otters, or hike up the range to see red deer, pine marten, and both golden and sea eagles. It’s a nature lover’s paradise.
The drive to the cottage is uplifting, going deeper and deeper into the Scottish wilderness. Torridon is most famous for the celtman!, an annual extreme triathlon. Shop 5 miles, pub 7 miles and restaurant 5 miles.

I’ve been going to the highlands for over 30 years with my brother to photograph the area. This cottage has the best setting we’ve ever found. It was also very well presented with ridiculously photographic views all around. Even the drive in from the main road was amazing. I can’t recommend it enough. We definitely intend to go back.

Comfortable cottage. Quiet location, miles from nearest shop. The photographs show a double fronted cottage, but half is locked off. The stunning loch views are restricted due to tree growth. The position is further from the loch than expected. The shower room is really unacceptably small, although the shower itself is powerful, there is hardly room to wash in the mixing bowl size basin. You have to walk side step to reach the toilet (and I'm only size 12/14)The only view of the loch is from hanging out of an upstairs window.
