Lovely comfortable cottage, very well equipped. Close to main roads but not close enough to be disturbed by passing traffic.Not a huge amount of things to do in the area, but plenty within travelling distance. Would definitely recommend.

We would recommend Cairnsmore cottage. It is well equipped, beds are comfy and living room has lovely views! It was so so warm too! The host David was welcoming. It is very quiet too. We had two lovely weeks there!

The cottage is in an amazing setting, lovely and peaceful, lots of green space. The cottage is brilliantly equipped, it has everything you could ever need. It's location is perfect for The Galloway Forest where there is plenty to do, not just walks but a Wild Goat Park, a Red Deer Park, stone faces at Black Loch. The town is a 5 minute drive away where it has a well stocked supermarket, gift shop, pharmacy and tea shops. David is very welcoming and the perfect host. Would definitely re-book.
