A good, quiet, spacious cottage from which to enjoy Wigtown. Kitchen and living room were fine. The front bedroom and upstairs bathroom have sloping ceilings that result in low-lying corners that must be constantly ducked to avoid hitting one's head. This requires a certain vigilance when using these rooms. I would suggest that the owner make the back bedroom the main double-bed room, and shorter children would then use the front bedroom with the protuding low ceiling corners.

Fabulous cottage within a stroll of Wigtown centre. Wigtown is small, but very welcoming and hospitable. Lovely community pub at The Plough, and friendly locals and staff at the Galloway. Not much choice for evening meals, but we did visit in October. However, local CoOp and supermarkets at Newton Stewart. Rendezvous Café had lovely food for during the day. Amenities, decor and comfort at the cottage were excellent. Outside seating for the summer and very cosy inside for our stay. Highly recommend. The local community were also second to none in making us feel welcome.
