Guests say

The Crofthouse in Newton Stewart is highly praised for its cleanliness, modern amenities, and ideal location for exploring the area. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful touches like a welcome pack. While some noted the lack of evening dining options in Wigtown and a view of an electric substation, these were minor compared to the overall positive experience.

Guests consistently describe the property as immaculate, spotlessly clean, and tidy, indicating a very high standard of cleanliness.

The property is appreciated for its central location in Wigtown, proximity to local amenities, and as a base for exploring the area. However, some guests noted a lack of evening dining options and an unattractive front view.

The property is frequently described as comfortable, with comfy beds and a cosy atmosphere. One guest mentioned the beds being a bit hard, which is subjective, but overall comfort is rated highly.

The property is praised for being well-equipped, with a modern kitchen, fluffy towels, and a spacious layout. The mention of a well-equipped kitchen and the provision of eye masks suggest good maintenance and facilities.

Guests are pleased with the thoughtful touches, such as a welcome pack with milk. It should be noted that while these gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Fabulous cottage within a stroll of Wigtown centre. Wigtown is small, but very welcoming and hospitable. Lovely community pub at The Plough, and friendly locals and staff at the Galloway. Not much choice for evening meals, but we did visit in October. However, local CoOp and supermarkets at Newton Stewart. Rendezvous Café had lovely food for during the day. Amenities, decor and comfort at the cottage were excellent. Outside seating for the summer and very cosy inside for our stay. Highly recommend. The local community were also second to none in making us feel welcome.

Lovely well equipped cottage, ideally situated for exploring the area. Loved rummaging in the local bookshops and our pints and meals in the Wigtown Ploughman, would definitely stay again if visiting the area.

Great place to stay. Spacious and clean with comfy beds, fluffy towels and a well equipped kitchen. Could do with curtains especially in the master bedroom but eye masks are provided. Would definitely stay again.
