Venture 8.5 miles to the Drumtroddan Standing Stones, which date back to the second or third millennium BC. While you are here, wander through the beautiful woodland of the Monreith Estate. The pretty village of Isle of Whithorn is well worth a visit. From here you can book a wildlife-watching or sea fishing boat trip. Plan a trip to the Galloway Forest Park, 20 miles away, with over 300 square miles of dramatic landscapes to explore.

Make your way into the two-storey property via the kitchen door.
