The property provides comfortable accommodation including underfloor heating and wood burning stove. There are easy walks directly from the cottage to Caerlaverock Castle and also the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust Centre which is home to tens of thousands of geese and other winter water fowl in the winter months. These are truly a sight not to be missed.

There are plenty of opportunities in the local area for exploring either by car, bike or on foot including connections with Rabbie Burns at Brow Well and Ellisland Farm whilst other Burns connections can be discovered in Dumfries including the Burns Mausoleum. For active pursuits the 7Stanes Mountain Bike Routes are close to hand at Mabie, Ae and Dumfries Woods. The variety of Golf courses allow for a different course to be played every day of the week within a half hour drive of the cottage including the Southerness Championship Course. Fishing, of course, abounds with excellent salmon fishing on the Nith and Annan or coarse fishing at many other local lochs and burns.

The cosy accommodation of the cottage will ensure that you have a superb holiday albeit for a family venture or romantic quiet get away.
