We reallly enjoyed our stay at Branta Cottage. The location was perfect - peaceful but within easy reach of Dumfries and the local area. The cottage was warm, cosy and beautifully clean and Mrs Murray was the perfect host. We so enjoyed watching the birds and walking on the farm and plan to return in the autumn when we hope the weather might be better.

We had a week here in September with a friend and her dog who both loved the area and Branta. Bill and I returned for a week in November. We have stayed in Branta several times, it has everything you need for a lovely holiday whatever the weather. It is cosy and has lovely views of the estuary and the bore if you are lucky enough to see it. The welcome tray and flowers were lovely. Plenty to see whatever time of year you visit.
