Rocklea accommodated 6 of us very comfortably - facilities good , and a lovely secure front garden from which to watch the comings and goings both of walkers and the tides. Great shell beaches and interesting walks -we enjoyed Rockcliffe and Sandyhills and visited Threave gardens. Kirkcudbright was a highlight - a really friendly and interesting town. We would gladly return as Dumfries and Gallaher has much to offer the holidaymaker. Angela was easily reachable by phone and was very friendly and helpful.

We have rented this property several times and it has now been completely repainted and the garden tidier than last summer, so very positive feedback. Lovely setting and good places to eat in the village and nearby.. We hope to be back next year!

A good experience but more dated than I expected inside. Position of property is wonderful and because we had a heatwave while staying in June this really helped our holiday stay here. Some work to update had been carried out but carpets grubby and kitchen really old. Definitely paying for the view which we enjoyed and the white cockle beach is beautiful. Close to good walks and easy to get to paths. Car required to go shopping and two pubs in Kippford itself which both stopped food really early evening and also turned away 3 times from one of them as no food available for us. In summary the weather made this location ideal but value for money within the property I would question as not at all comfortable downstairs. I would visit the location again but probably not Ricklea unless updates downstairs for comfort and cleanliness carried out to improve current offering.
