Primrose Cottage in Rockcliffe is praised for its stunning location, cleanliness, and well-equipped kitchen. Guests appreciate the proximity to the beach and scenic walks, as well as the peaceful atmosphere. While the cottage is cosy and ideal for couples or small families, some guests find the living space and seating somewhat cramped and uncomfortable for larger groups. The charm and character of the cottage, alongside its modern amenities, make it a memorable stay for many.
Guests consistently note the cottage as clean and tidy, with only minor comments on cobwebs. The high level of cleanliness contributes to the overall positive experience.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, beautiful walks, and peaceful setting. The ease of access to local attractions and the sound of waves add to the charm.
While beds and pillows are described as comfortable, there are several remarks about the sofas being uncomfortable and the living space being tight for four adults, suggesting a better fit for smaller groups.
The cottage is well-equipped with a kitchen, Wi-Fi, and off-road parking. However, some guests mention quirks such as an oven that takes time to warm up and a non-smart TV, indicating room for improvement in maintenance.
There are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate the level of thoughtfulness. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Great cottage for a couple or a small family. Good location and well equipped. The cottage is very warm and the shower is geat. Only downsides are, the kitchen is cramped when the table is extended to seat four people ans having a bath is not easy as the water is heated by solar panels. Added bonus are a washing machine and separate dryer in a outhouse and, parking for one car. Great cotfage and good value, this was our second visit.

Excellent holiday accommodation in a very good position near the beach. Helpful owner is nearby. Great for a couple or a small family it is very well equipped although the kitchen is a little tight when the table is extended. The house is solar powered so if you are not familiar with how it works you may need to ask as the instructions were not readily available when we arrived. Heating is superb and the house is very warm. Space for off road parking for one car. Handy for the Jubilee path to Kippford which has a nice cafe/shop and two pubs.

Lovely cosy cottage in great location close to the beach. Lots of walks from the cottage without having to drive anywhere (which I like!). I noticed a few comments regarding the bed - I think must be new - as very comfortable, I didn’t want to get up! The only downside was the bathroom being on the cold side - the towel rail really doesn’t provide enough heat to warm it up unfortunately- however, hasn’t put me off thinking about staying here again.
