Providing wonderful accommodation for friends or family, this semi-detached all one level cottage can be found within Powfoot, in close reach of the historic town of Annan. Inside, the cottage provides a warm and welcoming feel, with the sitting room inviting you in to sit around the electric fire and soak in your surroundings of the sea from the large window; the perfect place to spend quality time with the group as well as achieve true tranquillity. Move into the kitchen/diner to find everything you could need for a week-long stay, including an oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and a washing machine, with the dining table tucked away neatly to the side of the room, here you can all sit to enjoy a hearty meal when you're not enjoying the delicious delicacies of the neighbouring pub. At the end of a fun-filled day, retreat to one of the two bedrooms to catch up on your rest, choosing from either a king-size or a twin room, both serviced by a glorious shower room, you can ensure each member of the group has a snug spot to rest. Alongside off-road parking, to the rear of the property you can find a lawned area where you can sit while the pleasant sea breeze washes over you. Take a stroll down to the seafront and bathe in the sands or make a splash in the sea before a game of golf ahead of an action-packed day in Annan; full of history and excitement of all kinds in the form of a motte and bailey castle, a museum, a pleasant park and a swimming pool just to name a few of its amusements, it makes a fantastic day out for all tastes. Further afield you can reach Dumfries, a traditional county town hosting an abundance of wonder at any time of year. 2 Whiterow is a marvellous base from which to explore Scotland.
A small and secluded area resting near to the Royal Burgh of Annan, Powfoot makes an extremely scenic base for discovering Scotland. The area boasts its own local shop and pub, as well as the nearby town offering a wider selection, alongside a museum, park, swimming pool and a railway station providing easy access to a wide range of Scotland's attractions. Slightly further afield you can reach Dumfries, providing amusements of all kinds, Powfoot is the perfect place for a holiday to Scotland.

The cottage is spotlessly clean, comfortable and has everything you could need during your stay. Some peopleâs needs are different than others, but what we needed was there, it was warm and cosy, you could park your car and do whatever you wanted. Beautiful views across the Solway, very changeable by the minute. We found the beach not to our taste, very uneasy in places and not one to walk on without getting sludged up. We walked to Annan which I donât recommend, it wasnât pleasant. Annan isnât a place I would visit again, I didnât impress at all. Powfoot village is quite quaint, especially near the bowling green, but you can see it all in an afternoon. Walks along to the caravan park weâre enjoying too. The pub next door virtually do nice food, which I recommend. Overall, the cottage was perfect in every way, the view is stunning but you need to drive further afield to see things as Powfoot doesnât offer much apart from the same walk along the coast. Unfortunately the weather for us wasnât ideal, we enjoyed the cottage, but Powfoot didnât do it for us.

It is decorated and furnished to the highest standard, - everything is of 'excellent quality'. Julie the owner was absolutely lovely, friendly, approachable and nothing was too much trouble. We were also left a treat of wine and chocolates - thank you Julie ! The cottage is situated right on the Solway coast with fantastic views, in particular the wonderful view of the old Edwardian bathing pool which it is said was used as recently as 40 years ago!. Powfoot is a delightful little village and is perfect for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, we loved the community hut in the bowling green, its open to all and you can buy donated items by leaving your payment in an honesty box - quaint and refreshing! Powfoot is situated within easy reach of Dumfries, the lakes and many other places of interest in Dumfries and Galloway. The Sitar indian takeaway is literally 5 minutes drive away in Annan and its gorgeous as is the Anglers in Annan. The Powfoot hotel which is a few steps away from the cottage serves absolutely lovely food and the staff are really nice. Would highly recommend 2 Whiterow Powfoot for a relaxing and enjoyable break.

Julie gave us a very warm welcome, very friendly and showed us around the cottage which had every modern convenience available for us, very comfortable and cosy. Beautiful views of the Solway coast. Tasty meals in local Powfoot Hotel. Lovely walks. We couldn't ask for more. Linda and Hugh Kelly.
