Blackmills Cottage is an excellent choice for a holiday. It is warm, comfortable and fully equipped to the highest standard with everything required for a holiday stay. The owners have clearly given a lot of thought to making this a 5 star property. It is in a great location withing easy reach of Oban and handily situated just off the main road giving access to the Connell Bridge for Glencoe and Fort William, for Crianlarich for Loch Lomond and the Kintyre Peninsula. There is an excellent general store in the village with all the basic needs catered for. Sadly the butcher's is now closed and, on the night we went to the local pub, which is only a couple of hundred yards from the cottage, the kitchen was closed and not serving food. This did, however, appear to be a one-off.

A very pleasant stay in Blackmill cottage. Comfortable beds, good kitchen with all the faciities that were needed. Lounge, dining area and kitchen open plan and easy to use. The village shop and post office are quite close across the main road. There is also a pub that serves food with limited opening times. The village has a railway station that coud be used to avoid driving and parking in Oban and onwards to the isle of Mull. The local main roads go to all the interesting places. Some of the byroads are single carrageway with passing points.

Had a lovely long weekend at Blackmill cottage, which had everything we needed and more. The kids loved the cupboard of games, and the location was perfect for trips to Oban, hiking and beaches.
