No surprises, just the usual Gallanach Magic. There is something about the castle and the 1400 acres of the estate that relaxes the mind and soul. We wandered down to the beach , got the ferry to Kerrera and walked to Gylan Castle. Unbelievable but we had 6 gloriously sunny days, obviously cold sunny days but just wonderful. We visited The Oban Inn x 2 , Mackie Dans x 2,and Coasters and The Taj Mahal once each and were never disappointed . For coffees and fresh pastries etc you will find Roxy's cafe to be excellent. Finally , a word about our hosts at Gallanach, Charlie and Lise. They are always so very welcoming ,and nothing is too much trouble and that is why we will be back as soon as we can.

This is a real home from home, the kitchen is fully loaded and added bonus of tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper. Some fresh milk in the fridge for a cuppa was a nice touch after a long journey. The views are stunning looking down to the shore and a nice walk down to see the otters. We were allowed to walk our dog in the grounds, but being respectful of the sheep. Would highly recommend staying here for a relaxing week away. Oban is only a ten minute drive away with lovely bars and restaurants.
