With a nine hole golf course and public swimming pool, the thriving town of Lochgilphead (3 miles) has friendly stores, restaurants serving freshly caught seafood and pubs offering a range of local whiskies and ales. Hop in the saddle for a scenic ride through Kilmichael Forest and Loch Glashen (9 miles) along forest trails for stunning views across the water. Ramble through Knapdale Forest (10 miles) following woodland trails in search of its resident colony of beavers, explore the atmospheric ruins of the abandoned village of Arichonan (11 miles) or hike the Dunardry Trail (7 miles) to the summit of An Croach Mor for panoramic views across the Argyll Coast. This delightful white washed holiday cottage enjoys a tranquil location on the banks of Loch Fyne, surrounded by open countryside and only steps from the shoreline. Follow the driveway through the trees and pull up your car in the parking spot by the clear blue waters. Step through the front door into your spacious open plan living space where natural light bounces off the polished hardwood floors. Large sofas are arranged around the wood burner inviting you to sink into them, put your feet up and relax after a long day in the outdoors. Share cosy suppers around the centrally positioned dining table which comfortably seats up to six guests. Only a step from the dining area, your light and airy kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you need to prepare family meals, including an electric cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave. There's a dishwasher and washing machine provided for your convenience too. When it's time to turn in, head through to the restful double bedroom decorated in soothing tones with a feature wall. Your cosy bed is dressed with a warm duvet and plump pillows with a chaise longue at the end for curling up with your holiday read. A spacious shower room with WC is adjacent to the bedroom. Head up the wooden staircase to the first floor where you will find the family bedroom and a contemporary bathroom with separate shower and WC. The bright and airy family bedroom features three single beds with colourful duvets nestled into the eaves, perfect for younger guests. Outside, take your breakfast alfresco on the picnic bench as you watch the countryside wake up around you before taking the few steps to the shoreline for a paddle in the clear waters. Seals and otters can be spotted frolicking in the water and roe deer and red squirrels frequent the garden and surrounding countryside. Spread out your picnic blanket for a spot of sunbathing and enjoy an al fresco drink late into the evening, watching the ever changing colours of the landscape.
