We very much enjoyed our stay at Barrach in the picturesque village of Ardfern. The cottage was cosy and reasonably well-equipped with copious hot water and good heating; our hosts were very helpful and responded to any queries speedily. The sauna is wonderful! The village pub is friendly with perfectly adequate food, and the local shop very well stocked with superb homemade bakes. Several beautiful walks from the cottage and amazing scenery all around facilitating much sightseeing without too much driving. Please note though that the upstairs bed is very low to the floor and will not suit everyone.

We all loved our stay at Barrach, really peaceful location & spotlessly clean & well equipped. Walking distance to the village, where there is a great village store & cafe that have delicious coffee & cakes. It’s a really lovely area to explore, with sandy beaches & horse riding nearby. Oban is around a 40 minute drive where there are large supermarkets & a ferry port if you want to explore the nearby islands. Would definitely recommend this lovely house & would love to return sometime, thank you Jo & Aidan
