Baliemore Cottage is in a stunning location close to Loch Sween on the west coast of Scotland. This detached cottage, all on one level has recently been fully renovated and tastefully furnished to offer comfortable accommodation for parties of 4 and suitable for those with limited mobility.

The surrounding scenery is what makes the West Coast of Scotland famous. Remote, yet not isolated the cottage is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits. There are walks and cycle routes from the door where wildlife abounds with frequent sightings of deer, foxes, buzzards, herons and red squirrels. There are several beaches nearby including Stronefield and Kilmory Beachs within easy reach. The shoreline consists of rocky outcrops with inlets and sandy beaches, islands and islets and just cries out to be explored and you may even be lucky enough to spot otters at play or curious seals.

Guests are welcome to bring their own canoes, kayaks or paddle board to explore the loch and the surrounding areas of the peninsular, there is plenty of land beside the cottage for storage.

The wider area can be easily explored with Oban just over an hour’s drive away. Known as the Seafood Capital of Scotland with a fishing fleet in the bay a varied range of seafood restaurants and an excellent fish shop. The town is otherwise known as the Gateway to the Isles with the Calmac ferry terminal giving access to trips to Mull, Colonsay, Tiree, Lismore and Barra. Further afield is Fort William from where you can take a ride on the Jacobite steam train infamous with Harry Potter films across the Glenfinnan Viaduct to the vibrant fishing port of Mallaig.

The area is one of outstanding unspoilt natural beauty and Baliemore Cottage provides the perfect location for a quiet get away from it all peaceful holiday. The choice is yours whether you want a relaxing break to unwind or a more active holiday to sample the wealth of outdoor pursuits on the door step suitable for all abilities
