We booked for a week in September. the apartment was outstanding. beautifully decorated with everything you need for a very comfortable break. The apartment is in what used to be the Glendaruel Hotel and it was a completely relaxing location. Plenty places to walk and our dog was very welcome and loved her walks out. Glendaruel is a fairly remote area with no real amenities. We found Dunoon to be best for groceries and we did more self catering than we had planned as eating places and pubs are not in abundance, this is no way spoiled our break. Argyle and Bute is a lovely area we particularly enjoyed Inverary, the jail is definitely worth a visit. We took the ferry to Bute (the island is 300 yards from Argyle). Rothesay is beautiful and there is a lovely cafe at Etterick. the cafe is right on the sea front and completely isolated but very busy. If you are looking for a peaceful holiday and happy to travel around by day and explore or walk around Glendaruel then please consider The Hobgoblin out was outstanding.

Can't say as for amenities, as it was in a quiet place which is what we required.
