About this property

Colmac Cottage was formerly the gardener’s cottage. Situated in a wonderfully private location, with a secluded lawn and far reaching views over neighbouring fields, Colmac is one of our most popular cottages. The cottage sleeps six guests. Colmac boasts modern and comfortable accommodation and benefits from a hairdryer, washing machine, microwave, dishwasher and DVD player. A log burner is located in the living room. A high chair and travel cot are available on request. Enter through the front door and step into a porch, where you can leave behind your walking boots and take off your coats before entering the open-plan living room. There are comfy sofas placed around the log burner, perfect for snuggling up after a day of adventure. Make a home cooked meal in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoy it with friends or family in the separate dining room. The cottage sleeps six guests: upstairs there is a twin room leading to a double bedroom; downstairs there is one further double bedroom. The bathroom, with over-bath shower, is located downstairs. Outside, you have your own private garden with a stone BBQ and picnic area. The cottage is located in 20 acres of grounds, including an 18th Century walled garden and a stunning 14th century Keep. A number of facilities are available for guest use including an all-weather tennis court, small putting green and football goals. In the nearby village is an array of pubs, bars and tea rooms serving delicious food, as well as a golf course and beautiful sheltered beach. The next seaside town along is Rothesay, with many shops, cafés and restaurants, along with walking opportunities and open top bus tours. Steeped in history, this holiday let offers a wonderful opportunity to stay on a private estate, which showcases Scotland at its best! A fantastic opportunity not to be missed! Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 992858, 992836, 992862, 992859, 992861 and 992863. Together they can sleep thirty-four people.

This village offers a popular location for sailing the Kyles of Bute, one of the most stunning areas of coastal scenery in Argyll. There are pubs, bars and tea rooms serving locally sourced produce. Rothesay has plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and takeaways. Walk along the esplanade, visit the winter gardens and catch the open top bus for a full tour of the island. You can take the ferry crossing to Wemyss Bay, visit the castle ruins in the centre of town and enjoy the scenery.
