This beautifully appointed detached property sits in splendid isolation, surrounded by the mature farmlands of the Lour Estate. Completely renovated to a very good standards throughout, it is a superb example of a stylish and comfortable holiday home. Although remote, the property is only 4 miles from the market town of Forfar, where there is an abundance of local facilities as well as a good golf course, a nature reserve and swimming pool. The area is rich in history and is an ideal base for touring, hillwalking, bird watching, horse-riding, visiting castles, National Trust properties and Pictish stones. To the east are the very good beaches of the Angus Coastline, whilst to the west the Angus Glens are a challenge for all walking abilities. Forfar Loch attracts anglers, walkers and wildlife, whilst Glamis Castle is a short drive away. There are several very good golf courses within an hour’s drive, not least St Andrews and Carnoustie. An ideal choice at any time of the year. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.

Spent 2 weeks, mostly on my own for some rest + re cooperation. Ideal spot surrounded by panoramic views, was joined by family + friends at variouse points. Loved preparing meals in fully equipped farmhouse kitchen + sitting around big table eating + chatting. Returned home feeling rested. Will be sure to book again. Catherine
