The Brae Steading receives glowing praise for its beautiful setting, stunning views, and peaceful atmosphere. Guests consistently highlight the well-equipped, spotless cottage, the relaxing hot tub, and the warm, welcoming hosts. The property is described as a home from home, perfect for relaxation, exploring the local area, and dog-friendly stays. Many guests mention thoughtful touches and a high standard of comfort. Minor suggestions include improved internet and a towel rail, but these do not detract from overwhelmingly positive experiences.

Multiple reviews describe the cottage as spotless, clean, tidy, and well-maintained, with no negative comments regarding cleanliness. This consistent positive feedback supports a very high score.

Guests frequently praise the rural, peaceful location, breathtaking views, and proximity to beaches and attractions. The only minor note is the need for a car due to the rural setting, but this is not seen as a drawback.

The cottage is repeatedly described as cosy, comfortable, and a home from home. Guests mention restful sleep, spacious accommodation, and a relaxing atmosphere, with no significant criticisms.

Facilities such as the hot tub, well-equipped kitchen, washing machine, and information packs are highly praised. A couple of minor suggestions for improvement (towel rail, better internet, smart TV) are noted but do not significantly impact the overall positive feedback.

Guests consistently mention thoughtful touches, such as a generous welcome pack or hamper, and attentive, friendly hosts. While these gifts are frequently referenced, it should be noted that such extras are not guaranteed for every stay.

Good coastal walks abound through the old fishing villages of Portsoy and Cullen or alternatively travel inland through castle and whisky country.

There are plenty of golf courses in the vicinity, and the variety of bird and wildlife both onshore and off will please the keen nature lover. A charming bistro just a 10-minute walk away in Fordyce serves delicious seasonal evening meals and weekend lunches (seasonal). Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.

Wonderful expansive view of fields and the old stone-built village, spread out to the sea a mile and a half away from the cottage and from the lovely hot tub. Plenty of wildlife to see in the adjacent fields. Beautifully quiet. The village has an excellent bistro open on Fridays and Saturdays. The nearest shop is probably 2 miles.

We had a lovely peaceful stay at the Stead -it was so quiet .The dogs also loved the stay and settled in really well. The welcome pack was lovely, very thoughtful as with all the bits and bobs to really enjoy our stay. The hot tub with a view completes a much needed break. Thank you

This beautiful cottage with beautiful views gave us the holiday we were looking for. Relaxation with walks with the dog and facilities inn the cottage to cater as we pleased. The hot tub was wonderful looking out over fields and on to mountains. Over all a lovely experience will be back to stay at this lovely home from home.
