The surrounding area provides a good selection of shops, hotels and restaurants whilst the gorgeous little town of Pennan, situated in a little bay at the base of rugged cliffs, has been not only a smugglers village, but also the location for the movie 'Local Hero'. On both the Whisky and Castle trails, this wonderful little town alsoboasts multiple fishing, sailing, dolphin watching, surfing, golfing and climbing opportunities, not to mention the breathtaking scenery and stunning sunsets.
From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.
