The Wolds scenery is breath-taking with rolling chalk hills and valleys situated south of the North Yorkshire moors perfect for picnics walks and cycling a favourite with the artist David Hockney. All this countryside to explore yet only 12 miles from the city of York with attractions such as the Yorvik Viking Centre National Railway Museum York Minster and shopping at the Shambles and a great base for exploring North Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Coast. Step through the wide entrance door into the bright and spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/diner providing you with the ideal layout for relaxation kick off your shoes and relax on the sofa to watch TV or a favourite film. Prepare your evening meal in the kitchen which provides an electric oven and hob dishwasher fridge with ice compartment and microwave. If the weather is nice open the front door and enjoy your breakfast at the dining table whilst looking out onto glorious countryside. A door leads off to the inner hallway with a place to hang up your coat and leave your walking boots. From the hallway into the stylish double bedroom which looks out from the front of the property with a window by the dressing table. Also off the hallway is the bathroom with bath shower and w/c so enjoy that evening soak in the tub or a refreshing morning shower. Heading outside there is a lovely seating area with a BBQ available on request where you can enjoy watching the wildlife or star gazing on a clear night over the Wolds. Parking available next to cottage. Need to know: 1 bedroom double. 1 bathroom with bath and rinsing shower and over bath thermostatic shower. Pls note the owner has some very friendly cats. Pub and shop 1.5 miles (Including dog friendly pubs). Bike store available. TV and DVD. BBQ available on request. The property is located on a quiet farm where the owners take care of horses, re train and re home. By arrangement, the owners are happy to show you around, introduce you to the horses and tell you about the charity work they do.. For guests wishing to plan day trips without their dog, the owners advise there is a local kennels that offer day boarding, subject to availability and up to date vaccinations.
