This is a delightful cottage, lovely and warm and wonderful hot water. It is very comfortably furnished in a good location. I did think hard about awarding the full 5 stars as there are a few things 'missing'. We could have done with a bigger supply of cutlery and some crockery as there is a full size dishwasher and we found we were washing some items up before the dishwasher was full. However it was nice to find the kitchen had not become a dumping ground for the owners own unwanted items, an experience we have had on a number of occasions. A short length of hose in the garden would have been helpful for dog washing. After all the cottage allows 4 dogs.

A beautiful cottage in a lovely setting.. a bonus with the voucher and entry to Castle Howard. The area was full of interesting papers to visit.

The cottage was as described and was quaint and a little bit quirky. We had glorious weather but had I seen a picture of the garden furniture prior to arrival we would have brought our comfy camping chairs. The barbecue was great and we had Barbie’s each evening cooked on disposable barbecues positioned above the barbie. Bed was so comfortable and the cottage, being stone built, was cool in the heat of the day. The voucher for Castle Howard was much appreciated and we spent a day there including walking the gardens. Delightful break.
