Guests frequently describe the cottage as cosy and comfortable, with a particularly comfortable bed and spacious lounge. Some mention steep stairs, which may not suit those with mobility issues.
The cottage is well equipped, with a good kitchen, comfortable living area, and useful amenities like a bathroom radiator for drying towels. Some minor maintenance issues were noted, such as the need to defrost the freezer and improve water pressure in the shower.

Our third stay at this property and hopefully not our last. Clean, comfortable and just round the corner from all local amenities. Such good value for money, especially considering you get your own outside garden space and private parking, a rarity in Helmsley. Welcome pack of cookies, tea, coffee and milk much appreciated. I should mention that the stairs in the property are quite steep and may not suit the less mobile

The photograph on the cottages.com website must be an old one. While the cottage was comfortable and especially as we took a dog, it was a relaxing place to be. Nothing he could damage, fairly basic. Booked because it had “a garden” which is always good with a dog. It was however a yard really. Not fully enclosed. You wouldn’t want to use the seating/furniture as it was pretty green on the seats. The screening around the bins was wrecked and the planters looked v tired. Backed onto rear of Co-op and a restaurant so a little noisy - air con unit and Co-op staff rattling cages/ trolleys. Photo a little misleading. Not as pretty as suggested. A fair price though for an average dog friendly cottage
