Howe Green Cottage is highly praised for its comfort, well-equipped nature, and beautiful garden. Guests appreciate its peacefulness, convenient location, and the thoughtful touches from the owner. While there are minor maintenance issues and a one-off cleanliness complaint, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Most guests found the cottage very clean, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, one review mentioned cleanliness issues upon arrival, including cobwebs and dirty cups, which slightly lowers the score.
The cottage's location is frequently commended for its quietness, convenience to the town centre, and proximity to local attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.
Guests consistently mention the cottage's comfort, with references to blissful beds and a cosy atmosphere. The garden adds to the overall comfort, making it a peaceful retreat.
The cottage is well-equipped for a pleasant stay, though there are mentions of minor issues with an indoor clothes airer, ironing board, and a bathroom blind. One review noted the absence of a tumble dryer despite it being listed, indicating room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
Several reviews highlight the owner's thoughtfulness, mentioning welcome gifts and a helpful attitude. While these gestures are appreciated, it is important to note that such personal touches are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.
An exceedingly pretty, small and cosy stone-built, detached cottage situated just a few minutes' walk from the centre of Kirkbymoorside, whilst maintaining its distance from the general hustle and bustle of this charming market town. Warm and inviting, this delightful, period property is ideal for a couple and has been lovingly decorated and furnished to retain many original features, including exposed, beamed ceilings and a beautiful Victorian fireplace in the sitting room. The property also offers a large, well-established garden, ideal for relaxing and dining alfresco. The town itself boasts excellent pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and craft shops, and the weekly market is well worth a visit. With National Parkland, the Heritage Coast and historic York all within easy driving distance, this great property has plenty to offer.

Blessed with a natural bypass and surrounded by green hills, farmland and villages, it has quiet amenities and shops serving the needs of local people and visitors alike. Known as the gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors, Kirkbymoorside is a great starting point for walks or visiting coastal towns like Whitby, Scarborough or Filey.
