York appeals to all ages with its abundance of attractions including the iconic Minster, National Railway Museum and Jorvik Viking Centre. There are street entertainers and ghost walks along the cobbled alleyways, numerous festivals and markets throughout the year and a wide choice of inns, restaurants and tearooms. Wheldrake Ings, a significant conservation area and nature reserve is close by and the Yorkshire Air Museum and Museum of Farming provide a fascinating insight into the past, whilst throughout the summer lots of family fun can be found at the York Maze.
