Liked the photos of county house apartment,but upon entry the reality was different, the furniture was tired and worn and the cleanliness of the apartment was very poor, the toilet bowl was very stained plus the toilet was difficult to flush,the bottom sheet on the bed had a dried blood stain and the kitchen chairs were all stained, plus carpets were starting to fray at doors, advertised as a 4 star but in reality just about a 3 star

The apartment is in a great location for all parts of York.Care is needed in the bathroom to make the toilet flush correctly. We found that this only works when the seat is down. No problem once we got the hang of this. Also the key box is low down such that we had to kneel on the floor to make it work. Again OK when we did this but not the best for us oldies.We had a great stay and would probably visit again

A great central location to enjoy York. Especially as the apartment has a parking space. We parked the car and then used the apartment as a base to explore the city and visit the York Open Studios.
