Guests appreciate the County House Apartment's excellent location, secure parking, and cosy atmosphere. The property's unique charm and proximity to York city centre are highlights. Comfortable beds and a well-equipped space contribute to a pleasant stay, although some guests suggest improvements in cleanliness and maintenance.
Several reviews mention issues with cleanliness, including a need for a deeper clean in the kitchen and bathroom, dusty shelves, and a greasy cooker hood. However, one review notes the apartment was spotless, indicating inconsistency in cleaning standards.
The location is highly praised for being within easy walking distance to York city centre and having dedicated parking. It is described as convenient and ideal for exploring the city.
Guests find the beds super comfy and the lounge space relaxing. The apartment's warmth and cosiness are noted positively, although some guests mention issues with TV signal and WiFi reliability.
The apartment is well-equipped, but several reviews point out the need for maintenance, such as replacing a kettle, cleaning the oven, and fixing a shower head rail. The suggestion to replace the washing machine with a dishwasher indicates room for improvement.
There are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate the thoughtfulness of the host, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

County House is a handy centre for exploring York. Desperately needs a new kettle. Otherwise a great apartment.

PROS: This property is in an amazing location in a beautiful building. The layout of the inside is quirky with the mezanines and perfect for what we needed. A designated parking space so close to the city walls is a huge bonus. Super comfy beds with fresh clean bedding & a comfy relaxing louge space.CONS: Whilst the owner had thought of virtually everything you would need the kitchen & bathroom were on the tired side and the kitchen needs a deeper clean. Mugs sat on dusty shelves, sticky remote controls, some glasses need washing before we could use them. Losing the washing machine and installing a dishwasher would a great benefit.SUMMARY: Saying all this we would definately go back and hope the owners take on board our comments as constructive critisism.
