The cottage is located on a sheep and arable working farm, located on the edge of the market town of Pocklington. This traditional Yorkshire town is steeped in farming history with a beautiful lake and a weekly farmers market. A great base for exploring York and the Wolds as well as the beautiful, picturesque Yorkshire coast set 30 miles away. Discover amazing cycle routes along the Pocklington Canal, the Chalkland Way or the York Wolds Way. Watch out for brilliant events held at Castle Howard (19 miles) or delve into the vibrant festival city of York with a pub for every day of the year and every kind of restaurant you could imagine. Enter this thoughtfully designed cottage to the large hallway, which leads through into the impressive lounge/kitchen with a wood burner and original features. The kitchen features a large island perfect for dinner preparation, dining or card games. Heading into the lounge area, relax in front of the 65" Smart TV on the deep cushy sofas after a long day of exploring and snuggle up in front of the fire. There is a charming WC on the ground floor and a handcrafted staircase leading upstairs. The master bedroom with king size bed is a generous space with ample storage, extravagant furniture, and an en suite shower room. The second bedroom has been designed just as beautifully with a double bed with quality linen and an en suite bathroom with both a bath and a separate shower. Both bedrooms have got a Smart TV, perfect for lazy morning lie ins. Opposite the front of the cottage is your own patio area with bench to enjoy some fresh air and some sunshine. Gowns are provided to walk to the hot tub, which is situated in its own pergola with unspoilt views over the fields, set a short distance from the cottage. In addition there is an open, communal garden to explore with a covered seating area with a pizza oven as well as a shared fire pit surrounded by comfortable seats, the perfect place for making new friends under the stars. You may also fancy feeding the chickens and sheep which are also on site.
