This place is enormous fun and the location is perfect. Ok the stairs are a death trap, the kitchen is a mess and the 'garden' more of a yard, but we would go back in a flash. We loved it. The grandchildren loved the crooked floors and the nooks and crannys. And it is incredible value for money.Recommend highly

Belfry House’s location was ideally placed for us and we were very happy about this. Our overall impression of the accommodation however was that it was in need of some freshening up and general maintenance. E.g. sofa was worn and torn, mattresses felt old and/or poor quality, Bathroom doorknob was loose (fell off a few times,) door didn’t shut properly, upstairs toilet sink tap malfunctioned, broken window glass in the lounge, a gap in the frame in the front bedrooms, the banister rail was loose on the middle landing. We think that visitors might also want be made aware of the high car parking costs and also about the amount of noise generated by pedestrians late at night affecting the front bedrooms. We did however have a lovely stay in your beautiful city. Could you also supply a cafetière?
