Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for open fire included. . Parking in public car park at cost. No smoking.. At low tide here in Staithes there is a small sandy bay in the harbour, at high tide the sea comes up to the sea wall, with small fishing boats bobbing in the water. This is an incredibly scenic village, sure to capture your heart. Sunnydene is an ideal choice for an authentic stay on the Yorkshire Coast, beautifully renovated to a high standard throughout whilst retaining beautiful original features invoking its heritage. Stone steps lead you up from the harbour to the cottage. Stepping inside there is an open plan living room with a dining area, complete with an open fire ensuring you have a cosy stay. The kitchen is compact yet well equipped with sea views from the window. Up on the first floor you have a modern bathroom with a shower over the bath. Plus a twin bedroom with views over the sea. On the top floor you have the master double bedroom, again with gorgeous sea views to wake up to.
Staithes is a fascinating village with a lot of history, take time to explore the free museum as well as the art gallery. Each year the annual art festival draws visitors from around the UK and this village continues to inspire many artists with its beautiful scenery. The area offers walking trails including the Cleveland Way leading across the cliff tops which links other pretty coastal villages such as Runswick Bay, Robin Hoods Bay as well as Skinningrove. You also have the nearby historical seafaring town of Whitby which delights guests with its cobbled old town, boat trips and the iconic abbey ruins. Or visit Saltburn which is a surferâs paradise, with a beautiful Victorian pier. For a day out you can take a trip on the steam train across the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, soaking up the views. This is a great choice for guests looking to explore the break taking scenery of the Yorkshire Coast as well as the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. We have stayed in sunnydene several times and really enjoyed it . The cottage is very cosy but it just needs a bit of tlc in places. 4 of us stayed this time. Close to the harbour and amenities. The cooker is very small and has a mind of its own , could do with updating. Pots and pans are limited and a fair few needed washing when I came to use them . The compartment in the fridge wouldnât close as it was iced up but we managed to get some ice off to freeze the food we had. Iâd advise you to take your own pillows, as they are quiet lumpy ! The outside furniture is very uncomfortable and rusty .. fortunately we had our beach chairs to use. All This being said , we are not put off at all , we booked to go again in October and February., Hopefully there will be a new cooker đđđđ

We have stayed at the beautiful cottage before. Itâs perfect for us . The cottage is right near the Beautiful harbour of Staithes , where you can sit and relax . The Cod and Lobster is there welcoming and inviting . Food is so tasty spoilt for choice . The Royal George a short walk . The cottage itself is clean and just as we had left it a year ago . The bedroom at the top could do with a fan and May be a small mirror as the one at top of the stairs is ok if your 6ft . And a small rail for hanging your clothes . Other than that . Hats off to the cleaner and owner . Thank. You for letting us let your beautiful property . We will soon be booking again ***
