This lovely cottage was built around 1600 as a stable for Ruswarp Hall, but converted more than a century ago to provide cosy accommodation for up to six people. There is a pretty cottage garden with patio furniture and a barbecue, perfect for enjoying al fresco dining. If you are looking to make the most of North Yorkshire's stunning coastline.

The pretty village of Ruswarp is just two miles from Whitby and has a good choice of local facilities including shops, a riverside cafe and a pub within walking distance. The River Esk flows through the village and you can hire boats and walk along the river bank.

ground floor:

Lounge: TV with Blu-ray player, radio/CD player and open fire in brick fireplace.

Kitchen/Diner: Fridge, electric cooker with oven, microwave and washing machine, ornamental brick fireplace and beamed ceiling. Dining table and chairs. Stone steps leading up to garden.

first floor:

Bedroom 1: Double bed, chest of drawers, wooden bedroom chair and curtained hanging space.

Bedroom 2: Double bed, dressing table with wooden chair, wardrobe and bedroom chair.

Bedroom 3: 4 ft double bed, tallboy wardrobe with drawers.

Bathroom: Bath, separate shower, toilet and washbasin.

Pets: Sorry, no pets.

Parking: Private parking close by. Car parking spot number 2. 

Heating: Open fire in lounge and gas central heating.

Garden: Cottage style garden to the front and south-facing lawned garden with garden furniture and barbecue to the back.

Short breaks: Not accepted at peak times.

Notes: The stairs leading to the first floor are fairly steep. Unlimited WiFi is available free of charge. Mobile phone signal is variable. No smoking at this property. One bath towel per person is provided.
