Our third stay at Scalby, but the first in 'The Barn'. Perfect accomodation for a family break away with three generations. Very comfortable and has everything and more.Just a few little niggles....The lounge/kitchen floor wasn't overally clean - dirt showed up on socks. The top of kitchen blinds had thick layer of dust. The cleaners are eager to get in and are visible before 9am - this has happened on every stay here.

Had a lovely stay at the barn 6 adults and Ivy our 7 year old staffiVery spacious accommodation lovely garden access from the main living area was a bonus as Ivy loved going in and out all the time rolling on the grass and guarding us The bedrooms were comfortable and everyone had their own space the twin-and double do need their blinds looking at as they don’t fit properly ie they don’t fit the whole window gaps down each side letting in light and room can be viewed from outside For the first time after many years of self catering we had a cooker that made cooking for 6 people very easy once we had figured out the induction hob it is a double electric range design plenty of crockery and pans but one of the two frying pans needs replacing and a gravy jug would be good along with pint glasses With the cost of eating out being so expensive we did cook this time more than previous holidays including a full Sunday roast but did visit the the north shore fisheries twice for a take out fish supper excellent and it’s just down the road at the side of peasholm park very busy chip shop but so organised we never waited long All in all great holiday quiet site with good dog walks not far from the sea and blessed with good weather We will be back

Had a lovely weeks holiday in the Barn. The local countryside is stunning with access to lovely walks and local wildlife. The site feels secure and safe. Grandchildren loved the playground. The Barn itself is spacious - plenty of room for our 3 generations and well equipped.
